Harbin City is one of the largest cities in Northeast China and the 8th largest city in all of China. Harbin City is known as the Ice City for its weather, ice sculptures and festival. Historically, because of the location, Harbin City has had a strong Russian influence. Local area universities focus on science and technical service of national defense and aerospace industries.
